Typewriters. Typecasts. Olivetti Style.
I have a similar antique, crude, obsolete, fossilized dinosaur from way back in '08 or '07.Meanwhile, the typewriters keep doing just what they're meant to do!
Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone!
I have a flip phone too! Got it in 2012 as an upgrade to my other phone (I kid you not) which didn't even have speed dial!I post pictures that I took with it here http://hahsmarkiv.tumblr.com
If the flip phone was an upgrade, could only imagine what the older phone was!
Wow...and I thought I was the last person on earth to give in and buy a smart phone.
Now you can call yourself tech-forward.
I'm still quite happy with my not-so-smart phone, but admit to having just joined the ranks of tablet users. Typing on this thing, with it's double shift, is so much like using my Oliver that it's ironic!
I am very close to getting a tablet myself... even my mother has one!
I miss my dumbphone! I used to have a Motorola Startac II, also of the clamshell style, waaay back in 99 - 03 or so (I also used to carry a pager then, but I don't miss that one a bit!) I used my Motorola until it literally dropped dead in pieces. Then I *had* to use an iPhone (first series, hated it to bits, but the boss had one and expected ME to teach him how to use it), and now I'm the not-so-happy user of an Android-ish contraption (the simplest jig i could find in the store, and still it has way too many features I don't use). When I told the guys at the phone company that I wanted a plain Jane phone, they looked at each other in confusion. "A phone? Well, all our models have that APP installed..." You know you're living in a new millenia when the thing that used to define what a "phone" was is now considered a mere app...
II should call my phone a "flip app," haha!
Hey, I have a flip phone too! Glad to know I'm not the only one. And I still use a Filo-fax for jotting down all my appointments!
Welcome to the club, Ping. A filo-fax... haven't heard that in years!
Very clever post!I have a flip phone through work that they foisted on me. it was old when i got it in aught-nine, and now i mostly use it to get sympathy from coworkers
A flip phone to elicit sympathy is pure genius. (:
Last year had to retire and replace my Nokia 6310, finally gave out. Recognize about comments from colleagues; dinophone owner. Nice touch with the mug.Hints of dumbphonosphere week :-)
