Up next: I've never had typewriter sightings in all my previous travels so I'm happy that I finally have some to share from Manila. Bet you can't guess this one...
Meantime, here's a lovely holiday card sent by the thoughtful Florian of maschinengeschrieben:

I have a very soft spot for Spanish colonial architecture. One of my most cherished dreams is to retire to an old colonial house in a small town, with my typewriters in tow...
Those whale sharks are amazing! As always the photos are fantastic, it definitely looks like a place I'd like to visit at least once.
Gosh... everyone seems to have these Continentals!
I love Whale sharks. Such beautiful creatures. That one seems very small compared to some of the ones I've seen!
Looks like you're having a great time.
Beautiful photos. Those whale sharks would make me nervous, I bet, even if they're "gentle giants," but I am always glad to hear about successful ecotourism ventures.
Neat glimpse of a Filipino keyboard!
Beautiful photos, as always. Looks like you were having a wonderful trip.
Looks like a fantastic trip! There's always so much to see, it's hard to settle on what to do. Good choices though. Now, who was that lady who used to type- and pencast from there?
@Miguel, I'd love to live in a Spanish colonial house too.
@Scott, I'm one of the few who doesn't own a Continental. The whale sharks in the dive site were juveniles.
@Richard, yeah, it was a bit intimidating when you're just a couple of feet away from its huge mouth, even when it feeds on krill and plankton!
@Dana, yes, quite unforgettable!
@Peter, you said it. Japan is one of my dream destinations, I really hope I can visit one day. I don't think I'm aware of a typospherian from the Philippines. Must be before my time.
